Wellington Secondary School was founded in 1967 in Nanaimo, British Columbia. • Course variety: Besides its large variety of distinctive programs such as Fashion Design, Dance and Technology Education (including Robotics), ESL, etc., Wellington Secondary offers Jazz Academy for Grade 9 through Grade 12 students. The program gives students opportunities to develop their skills in jazz performance as well as to compete in recognized jazz festivals provincially and internationally. 
• Facilities: Wellington Secondary has a video and television studio, rowing machines and extensive weight room, 4 computer labs, an extensive library with 30 computer workstations, 15 computer workstations in all 5 English classrooms, and a photography lab.
